Thunder lose Titmuss
Worthing Thunder have announced that they are to part company with their coach, Dave Titmuss.
Frank Gainsbury, Worthing Thunder Club Chairman released a statement praising the work of the coach, in getting the second year BBL franchise, to the play-offs during the last season. He goes on to state that finding somebody to replace coach Dave Titmuss, would be extremely hard considering all the hard work that Dave had done. He emphasised that Dave had left, due to personal reasons and hoped that the coming years would look kindly on him.
In a reply, Dave Titmuss, thanked the chairman and all the players for their fantastic support over the past year and wished the club well for the future

Teesside Coach feels the Heat!
Ex - Tees Valley Mohawks Coach, Creon Raftopoulos, has become Head coach at Guildford Heat. Coach Raftopoulos, who joined the Surrey, based side as Youth Development Manager last season, has stepped up to take complete control of all matters basketball.
Managing director Alan McClafferty stated that as head coach and director of basketball Creon had responsibility for the entire playing side, and the team’s move to the new Surrey Sport’s Park would bring all basketball under one roof allowing their junior national league teams and the senior men’s squad to train and play in the same venue.
So that is somewhere new for travelling Eagles fans to look forward to going next season.
I am sure that all Eagles fans would want to wish these two coaches all the best for the future, Dave in his private life and Creon in stepping up to the plate in Guildford. Although we must remind Creon that while he wishes to take the Heat back to former glories, there is only one pre-eminent team in British Basketball, and that is not the Heat, but the Eagles, something we would have hoped he had discovered while on Teesside!
